Yachting is often seen as an opulent indulgence, or even a way for affluent city dwellers to take a little refuge at sea without leaving behind life’s luxuries.

Between 6 to 9 April 2017, yachting aficionados saw and experienced some of the world’s finest superyachts at the Singapore Yacht Show (SYS).

Held at ONE°15 Marina Club in Sentosa Cove,  the show hosted an impressive line-up of prestigious brands, including Amels, Baglietto, Benetti, Feadship, Fincantieri, Heesen, Lürssen, Silver Yachts, Heysea and Westport.

The premier annual yacht and luxury show returned for its seventh edition, convening world-class yachting professionals, yacht builders and brokers, boat owners, and sailing hobbyists. The programme was set to impress with glamorous parties on water and on-land, luxury events including supercar parades and high-end fashion shows, as well as regional premieres on the marina.

Among the anticipated premieres was an arresting line-up of 11 Princess yachts, including two iconic models by the world-renowned British brand — the S60 and the Princess 49.  Princess 30M made its Asia premier in the middle of 2017.  It was presented by Asia’s leading yacht dealer Boat Lagoon Yachting.

International yacht dealer Simpson Marine returned to the Show with Asian premiere Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 62. A collaboration by Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design and Italian designer Pierangelo Andreani, the 62 was crowned European Yacht of the Year (the Oscars of the marine industry) in the luxury cruiser category at the recent Düsseldorf International Boat Show.

Also making a splash was the stylish Azimut 95RPH by Italian yacht builder Azimut Yachts; the Cranchi Z35 by local luxury vessel distributor Hong Seh Marine; and the sleek Ferretti 700 by industry heavyweight Ferretti Group.

A splendid fleet of state-of-the-art catamarans will also be on display for clientele seeking a more adventurous experience. They include high-performance catamarans by HH Catamarans, the Sunreef 62 by Sunreef Yachts, and the Leopard 40 and 43 by Leopard Catamarans.

The Singapore Yacht Show 2019 will be held between 11-14 April 2019 and promises the perfect opportunity to explore the world’s top luxury cruisers in glamour and style, both on water and on land. It’s luxury at its zenith that shouldn’t be missed.
