Char kway teow, one of our favourite hawker foods, is a staple in Singaporean and Malaysian cuisine. Penang may be known for the best char kway teow, but Singapore offers some competitive options as well. Here are our top 10 best places to eat char kway teow in Singapore.

As one of the best in Singapore, Hill Street’s char kway teow has a strong “wok hei” fragrance that makes it stand out from the rest. The kway teow is cooked just right – not too dry and not too soggy – and you can taste the smoky flavour in every bite. Topped with crunchy morsels of pork lard, this dish will definitely satisfy your cravings. But be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes during peak hours.
