Feeling awkward and lonely while eating alone? Well, good news! You don’t have to worry now because there’s a new hotpot restaurant in JB that lets you dine with other diners so you won’t feel lonely.
Ideally situated in Kulai, Xing Fu Xiao Guo (幸福小鍋) is the first-ever steamboat restaurant that offers matchmaking services to their customers. This concept had gone viral in TikTok not long ago, and now it has finally reached Malaysia.
So here’s how it works:
First, get seated and order your meal.
There is a single divider in the middle of the table, which can be retracted by pressing a button, thus revealing a stranger on the opposite end who could eventually become a friend or even life partner. Who knows? Fairy tales can happen in reality too!
Let’s not forget about courtesy, shall we? Remember to knock twice before pressing the button so that you won’t scare the person behind the divider. Do note that your fellow dining partner has the rights to close the divider after you’ve opened it. It’s a mutual thing after all.
So don’t just stare at your mobile phone while eating alone. You can now meet new friends while dining at Xing Fu Xiao Guo. How nice is that? All you need to do is just knock.
