If the name Mid Valley JB sounds familiar to you, it’s because it was inspired by the Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur. Located in Southkey Township, the mall is also known as SOGO Johor Bahru. The first phase of the mall has already been completed, and it opened its doors to the public on 23 April 2019. South Key has a thorough network of roads via the Eastern Dispersal Link, allowing easier access to shoppers.

The mall will be the largest in Johor Bahru once the project is completed, including eight 30-storey tower blocks and three hotels: The Boulevard Hotel, Cititel Hotel and The Gardens Hotel. Now you know where to book on your next staycation! Entertainment facilities such as a cinema, bowling alley and recreational centres can be found in the mall itself, making it an all-in-one hub!

Address: No.3, Persiaran SouthKey 1, SouthKey, 80150 Johor Bahru, Johor.

Toppen Shopping Centre is another highly-anticipated mall slated to open in the third quarter of 2019. Owned by IKEA South East Asia, the mall will seamlessly integrate into the existing IKEA Tebrau beside it. The mall will also conveniently be situated directly across the road from the AEON Tebrau City mall.

The name Toppen, which means awesome in Swedish, is also a combination of the word ‘Top’ and ‘Open’, as a reflection of the mall’s rooftop crown jewel.

Toppen will be a one-of-a-kind shopping hub because of its unique rooftop community with a mix of retail, sporting facilities, multipurpose piazza, community garden, cinema and alfresco dining facilities, all ready to welcome visitors from across the border!
