On the other side within the second floor of Lucky Plaza is Minang House, another hideout to delight your taste buds.

3. Ayam Bakar Ojolali
Third in the $10-and-below tier, Ayam Bakar Ojolali is located on the third floor of Lucky Plaza.
As the restaurant’s name suggests, their signature dish is ayam bakar ($7.30), or grilled chicken in Malay. Paired with a sweet chilli sauce that packs a good amount of heat, this dish is indeed “ojolali” or “unforgettable”.
In addition, frequent diners often recommend the restaurant’s ox-tail soup ($8.90), which boasts a rich broth and tender meat. Definitely worth a visit!

4. Puncak Best Noodles
Fourth and last on the $10-and-below tier, Puncak Best Noodles in Far East Plaza is where you can satisfy your cravings for Chinese food.

5. Ayam Penyet President

Taking a detour from Indonesian food to Thai cuisine, Jai Siam in Dhoby X’change is the next destination to spice up your taste buds.

7. Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut
Almost fully occupied as soon as it opens as 11:00AM, the popular Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut is well-known for its namesake.
Their well-marinated Bebek Goreng is crispy yet not oily – a bonus for health-conscious diners.

Located at basement 1 of Paragon Shopping Centre, So Pho by Katrina Group is one of the few Vietnamese restaurants here that is halal certified.

Also run by Katrina Group, IndoBox is a great place to satisfy your Indonesian food cravings, especially if you need a lunch break while on a shopping spree in ION Orchard.

The next restaurant on our list, the Straits Kitchen in Grand Hyatt Singapore, poses a significant price jump from the last at double the average spending per pax. But what you do get in return is a grand dining experience in a beautifully furnished interior, with a feast made from top-notch ingredients.
Beside being halal certified, some stations in the Straits Kitchen are vegetarian-friendly as well. Among the Indian, Malay, and Chinese food stations, the must-trys include the mutton rendang, ayam buah keluak, as well as the roti prata with high-quality curry.
The dessert station at the Straits Kitchen is known to serve great ice kachang and goreng pisang as well, so do save space for that!

13. The Halia
The champion on our list is The Halia, which serves up culinary masterpieces in the relaxing atmosphere of the Botanic Gardens.
Some of the must-try dishes here are The Halia’s Singapore-style chilli crab spaghettini ($26), served in spicy, sweet and tangy sauce; the delicate roasted barramundi ($25); and the umami-packed paperbag oven-baked halibut fillet ($33).
